dear Roshan and MARKETSQUEEZER brother, a few days ago there was a report on CNBC that the government was about to become the largest shareholder and it was also mentioned that the government would dilute its equity as the Vi’s balance sheet is improving, can you shed some light on how the government will dilute its equity? What are the options there?

marketqueezer bhai.. I am not an accounting expert.. in reform package.. preference share was mentioned.. so I just googled it.. also.. even after share conversion when the government will hold 33% of the capital, the minister of telecommunications himself has declared that the government will not hold a seat on the board of directors or participate in the administration of the company.. which confirms that the chances Preferred shares are high. Unlike normal shares, preferred shares can be sold back to the company. equity capital can only be resold to the company in the event of a takeover announcement by the company.
