Racehorse Tracking Forum Sets Agenda *The Racing Biz

The International Forum for Racehorse Tracking (IFAR) today announced its list of speakers for its sixth conference, to be held as a series of two virtual webinars on 5 and 19 April at 12pm BST (11 a.m. GMT). Each webinar will last approximately two hours. IFAR is partnering with the Japan Racing Association (Japanese Racehorse Tracking Advisory Committee) to organize this year’s event.

The conference theme “Many Paths – One Goal” is reflected in the speakers and organizations represented in both sessions. The keynote address will be delivered by Annamarie Phelps, Chair of the British Horseracing Authority. It will provide unique insights into the contemporary challenges facing racing and how tracking has become an essential element for the future sustainability of racing.

The list of speakers includes experts addressing key topics such as equine traceability, equine therapy and veterinary science. A key highlight will include a panel of young professionals, where Australian racing presenter Caroline Searcy will explore the attitudes and views of emerging industry leaders regarding current and future tracking strategies.

“We are delighted with the group of speakers we have assembled for this year’s IFAR conference,” said Di Arbuthnot, President of IFAR. “Between the formal presentations and the allotted time for Q&As with our audience, both sessions are sure to spark engaging conversations about thoroughbred tracking.”
