PSE will host the IPO Forum
The Philippine Stock Exchange Inc. (PSE) is hosting this year’s edition of Road to IPO, which will feature key topics and strategic considerations related to initial public offerings (IPOs).
The virtual event scheduled for September 15 aims to bring together business owners who want to learn more about the benefits of going public and the requirements and processes for completing an initial public offering of shares.
“We’ve had a robust IPO since last year. As more companies wonder how they can tap into the equity market to raise capital to fund their expansion, we felt it was essential to offer a more comprehensive Road to IPO program,” PSE President and CEO Ramon S. Monzon said in a statement.
The forum will showcase the IPO success stories of selected listed companies. Featured speakers in this segment are Herbert M. Consunji, Founding Director, Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of DMCI Holdings Inc.; Francisco C. Sebastian, chairman of GT Capital Holdings Inc.; and Lance Y. Gokongwei, President and CEO of JG Summit Holdings Inc.
A discussion on the outlook for the IPO market will be led by Monzon, BDO Capital and Investment Corp. President Eduardo V. Francisco and BPI Asset Management and Trust Corp. President and CEO Maria Theresa D.Marcial.
An IPO Readiness Session will be hosted by PSE COO Roel A. Refran with Romulo Mabanta Buenaventura Sayoc and De Los Angeles Partner Yvette C. Chua, Investment and Capital Corporation of the Philippines Managing Director J. Mariano P. Ocampo and Sycip Gorres Velayo and Co Principal Veronica A. Santos as panelists.
The forum will also feature PSE’s Engagement and Registration Assistance Program (LEAP) partners to host virtual booths during the event, where attendees can schedule online consultations and meetings, among other things. LEAP is a PSE marketing program focused on assisting interested and potential enrollees by providing onboarding guidance to clients through one-on-one counseling sessions, access to pre-enrollment assessment tools online and assistance in connecting potential clients to seasoned IPO advisors.

The Road to IPO is a key initiative of the PES in partnership with the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Department of Trade and Industry.
