Equity Group Holdings has confirmed its participation in the upcoming Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, Commonwealth Business Forum as an anchor partner with a three hundred thousand dollar ($300,000) sponsorship.
Through this partnership, Equity Group Holdings will participate in the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council Business Forum, and Dr. James Mwangi, Group Managing Director and CEO and Senior Executive of Equity, as special guests of the Commonwealth Secretary General , the Honorable Patricia Scotland, at the head of the government meeting.
Dr. James Mwangi, Group Managing Director, will deliver 2 keynote speeches at the Commonwealth Business Forum and present the group’s “Recovery and Resilience Plan for Africa” which aims to accelerate economic recovery and resilience in the region of East and Central Africa as it recovers. devastating health, social, humanitarian and economic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Commonwealth Business Forum will be held under the theme “Delivering a Common Future: Connect, Innovate, Transform” with a focus on “A Global Reset” and presents a platform for Equity Group Holdings to meet other business leaders around the world to chart a way forward for the resumption of global business.
Leaders of Commonwealth countries meet every two years for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM), hosted by different member countries on a rotating basis.
This year’s Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting will take place from June 20-25, 2022, in Kigali, Rwanda, with the host of His Excellency President Paul Kagame, who will bring together Heads of Government or their representatives from the 54 countries Commonwealth members.
Representing a third of the world, the Commonwealth is home to 2.6 billion people and includes both advanced and developing economies.
During the meeting, President Kagame will become current President of the Commonwealth, succeeding British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
The Commonwealth Business Forum is the first major business event on the Commonwealth calendar and brings together heads of government, ministers and leading business leaders from around the world.
