NI Chamber Energy Forum to discuss energy costs and impact on local businesses

The event will take place online on Thursday, March 24 at 9:30 a.m.
With price hikes impacting production, supply and logistics and significant concerns about what the future global energy market will look like, the event is designed to provide practical advice to key users energy in all sectors.
Richard Ramsey, chief economist at Ulster Bank, will help unpack the macroeconomic climate, discussing what the global emergencies mean for businesses and energy consumers in Northern Ireland. John Durkan, Sustainability and Environment Manager at ABP Food Group will provide a case study example, explaining how the food processor achieved substantial savings through energy efficiency.
Additionally, Peter McClenaghan, Director of Infrastructure and Sustainability at the Consumer Council, will discuss how the organization represents business interests on energy issues, while Daniel Purdy, Head of Energy Efficiency and Resources at Invest NI will cover the range of practical support available, including consulting, resource matching, and grants.
