Never-before-seen footage of GTA 6 game leaked on online forum

• Over 90 gameplay videos of Rockstar’s never-before-seen GTA 6 were leaked on Saturday.
• Rockstar has confirmed that the leak is real as the videos spread to more social media platforms.

Gameplay clips from Rockstar’s upcoming Grand Theft Auto VI video game were posted to a GTA Online forum late Saturday night.

The user—screen name “teapotuberhacker”—posted 90 videos via zip file to GTAForums, a Grand Theft fan site, and claimed he “may release more data soon” – including codes sources, assets and test builds of GTA V and GTA VI.

The hacker also allegedly took credit for a cyberattack on Uber on Thursday, according to The Verge.

During the incident, the attacker identified himself as a hacker and claimed to have access to several internal databases.

In an update on the fan site on Sunday, the user provided a contact email and phone number for employees of Rockstar and parent company Take2.

“I am looking to negotiate an agreement,” the statement said.

According to The Verge, GTA VI is still in development and won’t be ready for release for at least two years. The latest version of the game — GTA V — was originally released in 2013.

The leaked clips show unfinished aspects of the game. One video shows a playable female character robbing a restaurant while another shows the game can be set in “Vice City Metro” – a fictionalized version of Miami.

In the forum thread, users questioned the validity of the leak and called on “teapotuberhacker” to post more evidence of access to the stolen files.

Bloomberg Reporter Jason Schreier tweeted to confirm that the leak was real, according to his sources at Rockstar.

The leaked videos are being shared widely on social media, although some have been flagged for copyright infringement on Youtube, according to The Verge’s report.
