Meeting of the mapping committee of natural and cultural assets scheduled for April 14
On Thursday, April 14 at 9 a.m., the James City County Natural and Cultural Assets Mapping Committee will meet to review community contributions to the Natural and Cultural Assets Mapping Survey, as well as the latest maps of assets and rankings of the main habitats. The committee will also review the risk maps and discuss next steps. The meeting is open to the public and will be held in the County Government Center Building D Conference Room, 101 Mounts Bay Rd. Meeting documents will be available on the Natural and Cultural Properties Committees webpage. SCORE organizes the workshop “The Psychology of Marketing”
On Saturday, April 15, the Williamsburg chapter of SCORE, an organization dedicated to business training and mentoring, will host a workshop titled “The Psychology of Marketing.” With presenter Don Jackson, the workshop will cover topics such as “Why should someone buy from me?”, “What is the other guy doing that I’m not doing?” Registration is $15 in advance, $20 at the door. Greater Williamsburg Chamber of Commerce prepares for post-session legislative forum
The Greater Williamsburg Chamber of Commerce will hold the 2022 Post-Session Legislative Forum on April 19 at the Williamsburg Regional Library Theatre, 515 Scotland St. beginning at 7:30 a.m.
State Senators Tommy Norment, Mamie Locke and Monty Mason as well as Delegates Mike Mullin, Amanda Batten and AC Cordoza will all be on the form to discuss the 2022 legislative priorities set by the House in January.

James City County to Host ‘Pennsylvania Amishlands Tour’
As part of James City County (JCC) “The Lounge” programming (which is designed for residents ages 55 and older), JCC will host a three-day, two-night trip to Lancaster County, Penn . Highlights include a tour of a working Amish farm, a live performance of “David” at the Sight and Sound Theater, and more. The trip is scheduled for June 14-16. The cost is $489/person for double occupancy and $589/person for single occupancy. Fees include round-trip coach transportation, two nights hotel, two breakfasts, two dinners, admission fees, gratuities, and taxes. Residents must register by May 13.
