Lineup announced for 2022 Film Forum in Galway Film Fleadh
Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland is supporting the 34th Galway Film Fleadh Film Forum this year: a series of case studies, panel discussions and industry discussions for filmmakers and industry professionals to explore and to exchange ideas.
Joined by a host of industry experts, Screen Ireland hosted four separate panels covering TV series co-production, using the hit series Hidden Assets as a case study; the distribution and success of the recent Irish cinema release, An Cailín Ciúin; developing audiences and harnessing new technologies to find them; and the introduction of the National Talent Academy network, encompassing the National Talent Academies for film and television, animation and three Crew Hubs nationwide.
The Fleadh Forum will take place at the Veranda Bar at the Galmont Hotel on Thursday, July 7, 2022. The event is RSVP only, and a waitlist will be established if the event is oversubscribed.

Case study on television series and international co-production: the hidden assets
Many TV series these days are funded as a feature film. It involves producer-led co-production structures and multiple financial partners – even Eurimages is currently considering a TV drama fund. We take a close look at how such a TV series was funded from multiple sources and structured as a co-production with the producer at the center.

National Talent Academies Network: Introducing Academies and Crew Hubs
In 2020, Screen Ireland supported the creation of the National Talent Academy network – 2 National Talent Academies for Film and Television, and Animation, and 3 crew hubs. The network was created to increase the scale of skills development for the industry, as well as to meet the need for increased crew training.
This session will be introduced by Gareth Lee (Skills Manager Screen Ireland) and Andrew Byrne (TV Manager Screen Ireland).
