LETTER: Baraboo School Board Candidates Forum scheduled for March 17 | Opinion

There is a revival happening in Baraboo as to what the Baraboo School District is teaching children. Is it critical race theory, social-emotional learning and equity training that is taught? These topics are straight out of the Marxist playbook about dividing people within a society and especially starting the indoctrination with children.

As the curtains close on the COVID-19 theater, let’s unite. We should all be aware of the drop in grades in the Baraboo School District. The teaching of reading, writing, arithmetic and the reintroduction of cursive writing should be in the foreground, they are not.

Spring elections are approaching and we have an opportunity to correct the shortcomings through school board elections.

Baraboo We the Parents Grassroots Group presents a Baraboo School Board Candidates Forum on March 17 at 6 p.m. at the Baraboo Civic Center. Not all school board members accepted the invitation. After the announcement of this forum, the Baraboo Education Association announced a similar forum with the acceptance of all holders. Keep in mind that the base is made up of volunteers who see issues that need to be fixed. Unions usually have highly paid “bosses” who don’t want to lose control.
