Hela Clothing investor forum successfully concludes – adaderana biz english

In the run-up to its IPO, Hela Apparel Holdings Limited (the holding company of the Hela Clothing group) engaged with investors through a special investor forum on 5e January 2022. The hybrid event took place at the Galle Face Hotel, with many attendees in attendance virtually.

The fundraiser, the largest IPO in nominal terms in more than a decade, has attracted analysts and investors from Sri Lanka and abroad with active participation from institutions, high net worth individuals and retail investors. At the event, the Hela Clothing management team and other prominent stakeholders presented their case and engaged with investors.

Commenting on the Hela Clothing Investor Forum, Dilanka Jinadasa – CEO of Hela Apparel Holdings Group said: “It’s really amazing to see the level of interest in this IPO and that of a wide range of investors. . Hela Apparel Holdings Limited is expected to offer 267,108,998 ordinary voting shares to the public at a price of LKR 15.00 per share, as part of its IPO, which is expected to open on 12e January 2022. Jointly managed by CT CSLA and CAL, the issue aims to raise approximately LKR 4 billion of equity from investors, through the sale of a 20.5% stake in the company, this which is expected to translate into a market capitalization of LKR 19.5. billion. The company, whose revenue is generated exclusively in USD, expects revenue of USD 270 million for this fiscal year.

Through its global expansion initiatives, the company has also become a leader in the clothing revolution in Africa. Hela Clothing provides manufacturing solutions to some of the world’s leading luxury clothing brands, including Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, Michael Kors and Karl Lagerfeld, through its 11 manufacturing plants located in Sri Lanka, Kenya, Ethiopia and soon in Egypt.
