A ministry statement pointed out that the conference had distinguished participation from governments, international organizations, major mining companies, financial institutions, academics, researchers and concerned individuals from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the world. . The conference was also distinguished by the quality of the speakers, including ministers, experts and specialists in this field from various government institutions, mainly Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Minister of Energy; Minister of Investment Eng. The statement said that the first day of the conference saw the holding of the eighth consultative meeting of Arab ministers concerned with mineral resources affairs, which was organized by the ministry in partnership with the Arab Organization for Industrial Development, Standardization and mining operations, which has reached the following dates:
– Ministers endorsed a proposal by the organization to prepare a system of mining guidelines for Arab countries to keep pace with current international trends and adopt best practices related to mining industries.
– The ministers welcomed the Arab initiative for minerals used in clear energy fields, which was proposed by the organization as part of international efforts to achieve cleaner energy systems with lower emissions to combat climate change. climate change.
– The Ministers also stressed the need to keep pace with technological developments and use them to achieve the sustainable development of the mining sector in Arab countries, improve the status of mining, increase its value, better use and improve its value chain.
– Ministers welcomed the launch of the first specialized digital platform for the application and supply of Arab industrial and mining products with the support of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, welcoming this important step which will help develop the mining sector in the countries Arabs.
