Ethisphere Announces 2022 World’s Most Ethical Companies | Business

This is the 16th annual recognition of companies that have demonstrated their commitment to ethical business practices through programs that have a positive impact on employees, communities and broader stakeholders, and contribute to a long-term sustainable and profitable business performance.

In 2022, 14 companies are winners for the first time, while six have been recognized 16 times – every year since the awards were created in 2007.

This year, the assessment has been updated to include questions about programmatic changes made in response to the continuing COVID-19 pandemic. It also included a new area around risk assessment, to better respond to the US Department of Justice’s recent emphasis on the effectiveness of a company’s risk assessment efforts; more detailed questions on key impact assessment processes; and a series of other updates to reflect the changing landscape regarding ethics, compliance and governance.

All companies that participate in the judging process receive an analytical scorecard that provides information on key trends among winning companies and where their programs stand against the class of winning companies. Candidates also receive a three-month associate membership in the Business Ethics Leadership Alliance (BELA).
