BDA activities at Convene, One Liberty Plaza, Liberty Street, located in the heart of the downtown financial district, will begin with a series of closed-door business development meetings with New York prospects focused on climate resilience, technology, high net worth services and asset management. . Public discussions of the event follow in the afternoon, beginning with a fireside chat between Bermuda’s Minister of Economy and Labour, Hon. Jason Hayward, JP, MP, and BDA CEO David Hart.
Minister Hayward said, “This free half-day event will educate key high-level decision makers on why Bermuda is the best place in the world to bring innovative international business ideas to market. This event builds on the BDA Climate Risk Roadshows in New York that took place late last year. During these tours, the Bermuda delegation has spoken to the world’s leading capital allocators with combined assets under management of nearly $11 trillion, and these are among the people we seek to engage with. again at this next Executive Forum.

The forum’s first thought leadership panel is titled “Why Bermuda? Cross-industry Solutions” and will be moderated by Suzanne Williams-Charles, Director of Policy and Regulation, Corporate Secretary and Data Privacy Officer at the Association of Insurers and Reinsurers of Bermuda (ABIR). Panelists include Patrick Tannock, President, Association of Bermuda International Companies (ABIC), Elizabeth Denman, Vice President, Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA), Stafford Lowe, NEXT Bermuda, and Michael Neff, President, Bermuda Bankers Association.
