BayEcotarium Hosts Berkeley Innovation Forum Primary and Final Sessions

USA-India Conference Event at the BayEcotarium in San Francisco

/EIN News/ — SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 15, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — More than 100 CEOs and global leaders from some of the world’s most influential companies reflected on recent innovations and actions to address climate change during a special dinner for the opening of the Fifth Berkeley Innovation Forum. The Smithsonian-affiliated Aquarium of the Bay hosted the main session, and the event’s final session was held at another BayEcotarium branch, the Bay Model in Sausalito.

The 5th Annual US-India Conference was held at the Speaker Forum on the campus of the University of California, Berkeley. Indian and American executives, professionals, scholars, students and key members of Indian-American business and economic organizations attended the dinner to exchange ideas in an open forum.

“The world is changing at a rapid and dramatic pace, and new directions and alignments are needed from major global economies,” said George Jacob, President and CEO of BayEcotarium. “India and the United States must work together to shape and ensure mutual prosperity and world peace.”

R. Mukundan, Managing Director and CEO of Tata Chemicals India, spoke about the importance of corporate responsibility in supporting climate resilience in an interview that evening. “We believe that conservation, biodiversity protection and the fight against climate change cannot be achieved by a single company,” Mukundan said. “It has to be done through partnerships and ecosystems. If by coming to these forums we can connect with like-minded people, we’d like to find them, work with them, and share what we know.”

During the closing session held at Bay Model in Sausalito, Professor Solomon Darwin (Haas School of Business University of California Berkeley) opened the final session. Presentations focused on industrial operations on the planet, how sustainability is essential for the future, and best business practices for thriving in the modern business world. The forum included time for open discussions and question-and-answer sessions.

The forum provides its members with a permanent window into the innovation challenges facing businesses around the world and brings members together to share their experiences in dealing with these challenges. We also incorporate recent innovation research from UC Berkeley and other universities. We keep membership size limited to promote a greater exchange of views.
